At Elton High School we promote excellent attendance and punctuality through a high profile rewards system where students are actively encouraged to be in school on time every day. Each half term students who meet the 96.5% attendance and excellent punctuality threshold are able to participate in a reward activity provided behaviour has also been good.

On an annual basis students are also presented with Attendance Awards badges if they reach 98% or above attendance in the previous academic year.
The above strategies have successfully raised the attendance of all students so that we are now significantly above the national average when compared with other secondary schools.
If you are a parent and have any concerns about your child’s attendance or punctuality, please contact our school and speak to Mrs Marsden or Mrs Alderson for advice and/or guidance.
